According to the Cleaning Industry Research Institute, 1 BILLION POUNDS of cleaning equipment is discarded annually in the United States. Vacuum cleaners make up a large part of this total. Since 1995 VSI is proud to say that we have remanufactured over a quarter of a million vacuum cleaners and saved more then 6 million pounds of waste from entering our nation’s landfills.

Furthermore, by constantly asking ourselves “what if” and looking to improve our processes, VSI now recycles nearly everything that we repair. Broken parts that were once put in the trash are now put into recycling bins; cardboard boxes are now shredded and re-used as packing material.

With VSI’s maintenance program, our 70,000 customers are getting as many as 10-12 years of use from each vacuum. Choosing to remanufacture your existing vacuum cleaners not only makes economic sense, but is an environmentally sound decision.
